Dean of Scientific Research and Graduate Studies: Prof. Talal Al-Essa
The development of nations is measured by the extent of their investment in scientific research and their ability to utilize research outcomes to foster development and address societal issues. In recognition of the importance of scientific research, the university established the Deanship of Scientific Research and Graduate Studies. Multiple Master’s programs have been introduced at the university, including Islamic Law, Islamic Banking, Business Administration, and Accounting, with efforts underway to launch additional graduate programs in both thesis and comprehensive tracks.
The Deanship is committed to any human effort aimed at enhancing knowledge through scientific research and is responsible for organizing, encouraging, and supporting research activities at the university through various means. Priority is given to research that aligns with development plans and contributes to solving community problems. The Deanship operates through the Scientific Research Council, chaired by the Dean of Scientific Research and Graduate Studies. It also manages the affairs of graduate students at the university through the Graduate Studies Council, which is likewise chaired by the Dean, reflecting the university’s belief in the significance of graduate studies as a primary support for its scientific research endeavors.
