About the Faculty

In the name of God,  the most Gracious, the most Merciful

Praise be to Allah, the Lord of all worlds, and peace and prayer be upon our Prophet Muhammad and upon his family and his companions.

The establishment of the Faculty of Agriculture at Ajloun National University, this promising faculty, comes in response to the national and regional need to face various environmental and economic challenges such as water shortage, climate changes, high production costs and other challenges.

The ultimate goal of the Faculty of Agriculture at Ajloun National University is to provide the local and regional community with scientifically and professionally qualified agricultural engineers to work in various agricultural fields to advance development for a better future and achieve the University’s mission in serving the community and our homeland.

The Faculty also aspires to achieve its vision, mission and objectives derived from the vision and mission of the University, in the field of promoting scientific research aimed at finding solutions facing the local community and to build bridges of scientific and research cooperation with many Arab and international universities and with various state institutions in addition to private sector institutions

 The Faculty is dedicated to making every effort to keep this Faculty at the forefront of agricultural faculties and to adopt a prestigious position at the Arab and regional levels.

I am delighted to congratulate the Faculty’s students on their belonging to this great scientific faculty, which they will be proud of today and be proud of them tomorrow , and encourage them to  make science and knowledge their path in life to serve their communities.

In conclusion, I would like to thank the university administration, represented by its president, as well as the faculty members of the Faculty of Agriculture and administrators, wishing everyone a bright life full of giving and loyalty to this homeland.

Vision

The vision of the college depends on dedicating itself as one of the prominent colleges to provide the community with education services, scientific research, and expertise to prepare students with distinguished and professional experiences in the field of agriculture, to compete in the labor market, and to create a generation interested in scientific research.

Mission

The Agriculture Program at Ajloun National University, based on our college and university’s vision and mission, seeks to prepare a distinguished graduate who is scientifically qualified, behaviorally skilled, and creatively thinking, capable of competing in the labor market, solving its problems, conducting research, serving, and developing the community by applying quality standards in teaching, education, research, and training.

Strategic Goals

  1. To provide graduates with a high level of competency, allowing them to impart academic experiences and knowledge to the masses of farmers and rural people.
  2. To make the college a prominent educational center in this specialty on all local, regional, and international levels.
  3. To prepare human resources in agriculture and rural society who can absorb modern methods and technologies that contribute to the gradual improvement of rural communities’ populations and enable them to exploit the resources available to them while preserving and ensuring their use for the benefit of future generations.
  4. To foster ongoing program development that keeps up with and gains from developed nations’ experiences and knowledge in this field.
  5. To provide distinguished education to prepare graduates and researchers with the ability to keep pace with developments in the field of agriculture.
  6. To provide the appropriate environment for the student to make the maximum possible benefit from the available educational opportunities, helping them to keep pace with the labor market and its development.
  7. To develop scientific research activities and encourage research and studies that contribute to serving the surrounding environment and the national economy in general and agriculture in particular.
  8. To conduct practical academic research that helps develop scientific research methods and develop social measurement tools, with a focus on adopting technological methods to provide informational decisions that represent the cornerstone of integrated rural development programs.
  9. To conduct practical scientific research with feasible economic returns.
