The Cybersecurity and Cloud Computing Department was established in 2022 to keep pace with the rapid developments in the fields of cybersecurity and cloud computing. This program is considered one of the modern disciplines, reflecting the increasing importance of cybersecurity and cloud computing in response to the swift digital transformation and the resulting rise in cyberattacks and risks of system breaches. Cybersecurity and cloud computing are interconnected fields that focus on protecting digital information and ensuring the secure use of cloud-based data. Cybersecurity emphasizes the protection of computer systems, networks, and data from unauthorized access, attacks, and damage. Cloud computing, on the other hand, provides computing services over the internet, including the use of remote servers for data storage, management, and processing, as well as offering on-demand access to various resources and applications.

To achieve leadership, academic and research excellence, and to provide creativity and innovation in applying and developing information security programs according to global standards.
