The Smart and Sustainable Agriculture Department aims to prepare graduates to apply modern agricultural technologies and systems to address global challenges related to providing safe food, achieving food security, and tackling climate change, while minimizing risks to human health and the environment.

To lead and innovate by promoting applied research that addresses the needs of the agricultural sector and by graduating agricultural engineers equipped to tackle the global challenges facing agriculture and food security.

To supply the local and regional market with qualified and competent graduates who are creative innovators in agricultural practices and possess modern knowledge and skills in smart agriculture. This goal is achieved through applied scientific research, targeted services, and community partnerships that engage all stakeholders in the agriculture and food sectors.
