The Department of English Language and Literature is one of the key departments within the Faculty of Arts. Established in 2011, the department is dedicated to achieving a high level of academic and research excellence, aligning itself with reputable universities both in the Arab world and internationally. This is accomplished by attracting highly qualified faculty members and continuously developing academic plans and course content to keep pace with advancements in the field.

The department offers a Bachelor’s degree in English Language and Literature. Since its inception, it has consistently worked to enhance students’ academic standards. Hundreds of students have graduated from the department, many of whom have gone on to play active roles in society through careers in teaching, translation, proofreading, and literary criticism.

The department is committed to equipping students with the necessary resources to develop their linguistic abilities and enhance their skills. To support this goal, the department is equipped with a state-of-the-art language lab featuring advanced specifications and modern technologies.
