Our undergraduate program provides students with a solid foundation in the scientific understanding of behavior, mental processes, and professional skills, enabling them to become counselors and specialists who offer services to children, adults, and families in various healthcare and educational settings. Our department fosters a collaborative learning environment between students and faculty, guided by the core values of our university, and prepares psychological counselors who facilitate the optimal and natural development of individuals, groups, and related institutions.

  1. Teach students psychological support strategies for individuals across different life stages, equipping them to use prevention, intervention, and treatment strategies to help others develop effective coping skills and respond well to their environments.
  2. The psychological counseling program aims to enhance students’ understanding of human behavior, their ability to manage psychological assessment, facilitate behavior change, and raise awareness of issues that impact interpersonal relationships.
  3. Prepare counselors capable of evaluating, diagnosing, and treating individuals with both simple and more complex problems across a variety of clients.
  4. Focus on individual and cultural diversity, strengths, and developmental issues affecting individuals and how to address them, especially in the age of technology and modernity.
  5. As members of the Psychological Counseling Department, we aspire to learn from one another in an atmosphere of positive engagement and mutual respect. We expect the program to teach our students to be supportive of all individuals, regardless of religious, spiritual, or political backgrounds.
  6. Develop research interests in the social, psychological, and behavioral nature of individuals and institutions.
